What is in the name, 1VIGOR?

I’m in to quotes…
When I was 16, I read a book ‘Don’t die with the Music in you’. The author Wayne Bennett is a Rugby League coach (now the England Rugby League coach). In the book Wayne discusses what it takes to be a winner, in sport and in life. The book is full of anecdotes, inspiration and philosophies that reflect Wayne’s love for his family, friends and players. He writes about business, loyalty and the value of self-confidence and being honest with yourself. He offers positive messages, for anyone trying to make a mark in sport, in business, in life.
Within the book are many quotes, and I found these motivating. I became fascinated with how one sentence can have such meaning, and it’s for you choose what meaning you want it to have.
Quotes can be wise, they can be smart and they can be motivators!!
The bit I like most about quotes is, they are memorable and you can easily repeat a quote to yourself when you have a certain experience or you are in a certain situation.
Let’s take this quote:
“If there’s no struggle, there is no progress.”
You could use this quote for many experiences in your life… as we’re a Fitness Studio, let us use ‘Working Out’ for this example.
Picture yourself in the Studio, on the Bike, doing a hill climb and you’re about to do a 10 second out of the saddle sprint… you know it’s going to hurt… how much progress do you want to make? Do you reach for the resistance knob and whack on another turn? Do you sprint faster than last time?
See how one sentence can totally change the dynamics of your efforts?
So how does this lead on to the name 1VIGOR?
There was a chapter in the book that mentions ‘Mental Toughness’, ‘Self Discipline’ and ‘Attitude’. These three ingredients are key to life. It’s the ability not to give into yourself. Not taking the easy option. To do what has to be done. When it has to be done. To the best ability it can be done. And do it that way every time.

The physical benefits are to be seen, toned up, stronger and more confident. Your gains in strength and good health comes as a result of good mental toughness!!
